About Jimmie

Featured on NBC, CBS, Fox, and USA Today, Jimmies Stephens is an acclaimed relationship coach, pioneering spiritual leader, motivational speaker, author, and life coach with over fourteen years of experience helping life partners, newlyweds, and those who have been married for decades save, renew, and reinvigorate their relationships. 

From humble beginnings, barely scraping through high school with a 1.45 GPA, Jimmie enlisted in the military and served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He worked in aviation fuels for the U.S. Navy, where he was honored with three letters of commendation. Serving through two tours of duty, Jimmie experienced several near-death encounters that awakened a realization within him: you are only as big as your impact. 

After his tours, Jimmie served as a youth pastor and minister in San Diego for 26 years. During that time he married Kandie after a bumpy start in his own marriage and his quest for help. Never really dealing with his emotional past trauma, he set out on a mission for healing for his self and his marriage. After working on his relationship he realized that many people struggle with the same challenges so he begin to help couples grow closer together. Jimmie helps couples in the 3 areas he believes that impact the overall experience of the relationship; Communication, building of love in their relationship as well as value and respect. 

Harnessing the self-starter within, Jimmie felt the increasing need to make a bigger impact on the world. Soon after, he moved to Georgia, founding The Light International Church. 

Today, Pastor Jimmie is a sought-after author, speaker, coach, John Maxwell-certified trainer, and founder of The Good Life Jimmie. He continues to serve as senior pastor at The Light International Church, and spends his days traveling to schools, churches, and events, where he spreads his knowledge, helps inspire youth to fulfill their potential, assists couples in reviving their relationships, and motivates everyone he meets to realize, develop, and build their ideal selves.

Jimmie has been married for over 25 years to his wife and life partner, Kandie Stephens. They have two children, Jimmie and Jordan Stephens, and reside in Atlanta, Georgia
